Leadership for the Successful Entrepreneur!
|
| Wednesday, December 31, 2008 |
Why talk about leadership? "
Leadership is important to know if you have a leader of a team owner or a single person with no work for you. Effective leadership is a way of thinking, a way forward.
Successful entrepreneurs of today must possess and emit effective leadership skills!
The best leaders are:
◦ beautiful, ◦ entrepreneurship, ◦ ethical ◦ positive ◦ good communicators, ◦ work hard, ◦ demand excellence, excellent ◦ to solve problems creatively!
Excellent leaders:
◦ know that the benefits far outweigh any negatives on the road of doing things!
◦ take on the mantra: "If it is to be it for me!" The leaders accept full responsibility and 100% responsibility for everything in life!
Below lists some of the differences between the mindset of the average or poor contractor and the contractor with the leaders of mind!
Manager mentality (the mentality of the average entrepreneur):
Dealing with the complexity of the day Engage in this activity Do what they said Do expectations Working hard and Analytical
The leaders (of the entrepreneur spirit):
Embrace change Forward-looking taut activities Involved in what to do Creating expectations View order Are imaginative and creative Passionate about what they do Are risk takers
Now we will compare their attitudes towards goals.
Manager mentality (the mentality of the average entrepreneur):
Impersonal attitudes towards goals Identify objectives according to needs Tend to be reactive
Entrepreneur leader with the mentality:
Attitude toward personal goals Active consider / promotion of their objectives Are proactive Creation of the action Change the way people think about what is possible
Next differentiation area to examine is how they see themselves (self-identity):
Manager mentality (the mentality of the average entrepreneur):
Peaceful life since birth Social
Entrepreneur leader with the mentality:
Struggle to find Not satisfied with the status quo Do not take things for granted Ask Change By focusing on the personal control of their own lives
So, which of the above attributes can relate better? In fact, the so-called qualities of an entrepreneur poor are those of a manager. Managers are good at maintaining the status quo and add to the stability of societies, but unfortunately not for successful entrepreneurs. The leaders and successful entrepreneurs are good people to stir emotions, raising their expectations and to take in new directions!
As an entrepreneur, you ensure that you emerge traits of effective management if necessary. And you emerge effective leadership skills still ... CONSISTENT! The leaders are those who make things happen! As an entrepreneur who is focused on laying the groundwork now for a huge in the future of your business, it is very important that you lead the vision of what your company can achieve. This includes sales targets, levels of customer service, marketing initiatives and all aspects of your business.
The best leading entrepreneurs think, "How my products / services a positive influence on my clients? "
So what are the steps to become or remain an effective leader?
1 - Start with your vision for society! Who do you serve? How many clients do you have? Where are your customers? What difference do you? Etc. Remember, leaders are visionaries! The leaders still have their eyes on what they would like to see in the future! And they ensure that they do everythng is consistent with that vision. If it is not, they do not!
2 - be a great communicator of the vision! (who you are, what you are all about?). leaders are excellent communicators and are therefore able to articulate effectively with others. They know how to get others to listen, be interested and aid.
3 - build loyalty! The leaders let others see how hard they work, how they are sincere in their quest to help and serve others, etc. They ask their colleagues, employees, customers feedback and then the use to improve. This will certainly build loyalty!
4 - Become an expert! The leaders are considered experts in their industry! An expert to help your customers BEST! An expert in the search for excellence in everything they do. They speak, write articles and more.
5 - proactively create solutions to problems! The words proactive and creative is the key! The leaders did not wait to get somewhere? good or bad. They look for and anticipate both good and bad, and try to think creatively how the two scenarios. They are not avoid or ignore them but hit them straight. Some examples: Suppose your business usually slows in the summer. A leader in advance to consider ways to ensure business does not slow down and begin marketing efforts and to encourage other companies to the summer. OR, say a client really need your product and wants to do business with you, but they are all short of money. You could lose either the company or all together to find financing options that you set while allowing the customer to come on board.
6 - A leader always gathers and shares nformation / resources to help their customers and themselves!
7 - A leading willingly accepts full responsibility to 100% of the time!
8 - An impressive leader inspects what they want! They know their business statistics! And do it proactively. When you're in business for yourself, no demand is there to see the latest report. You must create your own report. (average revenue per customer, income year to date and month to date, trends in their industry, etc.)
9 - Servant leadership always wins! There is a fine line between a pushover and exuding a servant attitude. I encourage you to the desire to serve others, help others. Perhaps as a mentor for someone starting. Successful leaders are servants to their customers, peers and colleagues. They are useful when they can be, understanding that they are engaged in these things that will also deepen their business relationships and to be in line with their vision.
10 - An effective leader is working continuously on themselves more and more! They do not take the easy way! They work hard!
Always an attitude of hope, can-do-while keeping his nose to the grind stone and it will happen!
Do you have what it takes to be a great leader great? Are you ready to work hard? And fun to do? Are you ready to get out of your comfort zone at a time and do things that feel May bizarre to you? Are you ready to be a servant leader? Are you ready to make your plan together and start your new business and put into service a large number of points we discussed today?
I sure hope so! Anything is possible! Remember, "If it is to be it for me!"
If you want to enjoy a complementary coaching session with me, simply e-mail or call me and we can assess how best to move you and your business forward!

7 Core Elements Of Your Vivid Vision!
|
|
What you are about to read May be found in the Bible but it also applies to your life.
Most leaders neglect to provide a vision statement for the people they lead and a vision, it is generally presented lack of vitality or any inspirational value.
"Where there is no vision the people perish" - is the warning given to King Solomon [in Proverbs 29:18].
And the prophet Habakkuk is commanded to "Write the vision, and make [it] plain on the tables, that May-term bed, vision [is] once appointed, but in the end it must speak and not lie: if it Tarry, we wait because it will surely come, it will not tarry [Hab 2:2-3]. "
So, your vision must serve three important functions:
1) Those who need to drive or vision that their efforts fail to achieve anything long-term value;
2) Your vision must be written in clear, simple language so that your people will be able to operate with its meaning;
3) A refers to some time in the future and if it appears to be late coming, it will become your reality.
A useful component of the action!
You need verbs. Use your statements to convey the action. Your actions should focus on the production of certain effects, the result or outcome.
You can discuss it - but that will not satisfy the desires of our heart of man. Your vision must meet the other and not to leave with a feeling of emptiness.
You must say something that matters to others, something that will impact their lives, something that gives them a goal.
Giving their efforts, activities or seeking a worthy reward.
An element of reasons!
Your leadership is the reason. Why do they want to follow you? What "because" your vision to provide them? How is it that we need to do this thing, this project, this company?
Your declaration must give a series of reasons to act. The reasons must be compelling, inspiring, critical, exciting, essential to your group.
I love those CEOs from sliding to the microphone and tell their fellow workers that they must be motivated to slave away so that the company can increase shareholder value '! After the speech, ask those employees on the percentage of ownership of this company and you find that employees do about 0.1% - not even enough power to vote a single director.
Increased shareholder value is not very exciting to anyone, including shareholders - they are motivated by the money they earn - cash in hand, not paper promises of profits.
An element of trust for purposes!
Psychologists say the unemployed are generally depressed, sad and lethargic. It is a scientific fact that people with little or no purpose are not satisfied and are more likely to think about ending their lives.
You and I are at our most effective if we meet our goal. Job titles are important, because these designations tell people that there is a purpose for their work, their organization and the profession.
Your title is not the only indicator of your item, but it does give you a sense of purpose, is not it? We believe it is easier to trust and rely on the promises of a good, noble goal.
Your vision should give the group a purpose that is worthy of their trust, loyalty and commitment.
A valuable component of identity
Are your photos are statements of hope, the future realities or laudable objectives? What is your group to identify themselves after realizing your vision?
Vivid visions to educate, develop and encourage people. Visions hold the mirror of future opportunities and enable people to see their potential clearly defined.
You can use your visionary projections to transform the group into a new, better and the confidence of the team leaders, innovators and mentors. Thus, visions can help you add value and strengthen the people of your best efforts.
An element of principle activities
Without principles, your vision will disappear into nothingness - is it possible that the Author of the Bible means the same thing?
Your vision must have a solid foundation for a chance at future success. Integrate personal, cultural and corporate values of your people in your vision provides a basis for buy-in of all stakeholders.
Principles, beliefs, morals or ethics can also form the basis of a vision worthy. When you involve any positive results of our studies of philosophy, psychology and theology, you have the ingredients of an education vision.
An element of the eternal hope
The time is now, but eternity is forever. Eternity is a great eternal present - in it, there is no past, no future and no in-between, there is only one now.
Your vision must be present at any time - to be sure of the vision in May and has not yet been reached, but when its goals are achieved visionary image will be present.
If the vision crystallized contains hope, it appears to reflect the best parts of eternity - your vision will be spent without regret, without fear of the future and that misfortune will ever hope for better things.
An element of unlimited size
Is your vision inspire our body, mind, spirit and potential? Have you spoken and linked to our physical, intellectual, spiritual beings or development?
The vision that finds its place in a group of intimate basis has the best chance of realization. Your declaration must help the public see their chances of:
- Adding a tangible value of their world
- Continue newer and more difficult ideas
- Being empowered to accomplish great things
- The growth beyond the limits of their current status
Use the power of scale to extend, deepen, broaden and strengthen the character, ability, competence and capabilities of your team - they will be best for her.
-------------------------------------------------- ----------
Your vision statement should contain alive the promise of a larger, more desirable world - if you include these 7 items, you will see your ideas considered becoming a glorious version of a new reality.
Thomas Jefferson included the line, "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" to describe his vision of a United States of America in the Declaration of Independence.
Jefferson's ideas certainly sparked the imagination of many people and his statements were eventually turned into a tangible reality. The best vision statements embody the ideals that are generally shared by all participants.
If you can find these ideals, if you use the 7 elements and if you share your heart with your disciples, you too will be able to craft sustainable, vision still a source of inspiration.
Start writing a vision for your own personal growth and the future - then take action and put your ideals into practice and help others realize their dreams.
Do not let people die, they give a lively start and prosper with and the world will beat a path to your door!

Birth Order - Understand How It Affects Your Personality
|
|
"Know thyself" is a powerful principle that leaders, managers and effective people know intuitively.
When you understand your own strengths and preferences you are able to maximize the strengths and weaknesses compensate for any work, either differently or surrounding yourself with different people.
Most of us have a dominant birth order personality that matches the birth of our position. But that personality is influenced by variables such as temperament, gender and other family circumstances. So it is not so much where you are born in your family, but how you function that counts. How a person functions generally correlates with birth position.
Your personality birth order relates to both your working style (ie how you work and what motivates you) and your relational style (ie how you relate people). For many people who work along the ways for lines birth. For example, I am the youngest of my family seven years, which means I am like a functional first-born. So I worked as a first-born (achievement-oriented, ambitious and like to be in control), but I wear as a young (very good at outsourcing to other poor and a decision maker). It sounds complicated, but it is not.
Birth order theory defines four types of personalities and first born, second born, and only youngest. If you were 3rd of six children and circumstances that you or the other functions essentially as one of four above.
The four types of birth order and some of their characteristics:
First born? managers, drivers and types responsible. These people like others to manage but first they need to manage themselves. They like to feel in control and can feel uncomfortable with the feeling of surprise or depth. They are conservative in their outlook, which is both a strength and a weakness. Their ability to focus on a target and their propensity to organize other means they can achieve what they put their mind '.
Their tendency to perfection may mean they can be low risk-takers but they may be around the rock that organizations can be built. Approval of authority is important for this group, it is therefore not expected to rock the boat too much. First born, above all, want to move forward.
Second born? the "people" people, the compromisers, and flexibility for operators. They are likely to motivated by a cause and enjoy working with people. They often choose tasks or even a job that will give them a sense of belonging. Friendships are important for this group to learn to cope and help maintain peace in a group or organization. They often need others to lead but they are the glue that holds together the groups. Relations are important for this group to ensure they are included in all activities. Seconds, above all, put people first.
Only '? calm performance, the finishers, they expect nothing less than the best. This group will raise the bar for everyone around them, nothing but the best will do. Their strength is their ability to work for long periods of time on their own to make great project finishers and strategic thinkers, but they can be secret and do not address many conflicts. The recognition is important for this group. Only ', above all, aim to please.
Youngest? the initiators, ideas and challengers. This group is the creation of living for the moment, the guys who can bring some fun and verve in their activities. Although the message to the first-born is in place to alleviate, it appears that this group must take things more seriously sometimes. Great initiators and actors very impatient, they perservere to get something started, but often are not the greatest finishers. This group will often do something to be noticed sure to take account of their efforts. Youngest, above all, will blow your mind.
What personality birth order do you most closely resemble? Does it match your birth order position? In fact, you probably nodded your head for certain characteristics in each position. But who are you more vigorously nod when playing? This gives you an indication of your dominant birth order personality.
So what's the point? Know thyself and know the circumstances you are working in. There are times when the birth of your personality to take over but there are times when you need May to operate or work as someone in a other position. May this make you feel uncomfortable but you can do.
I have a series of badges? one for each position? which I wear for different occasions and different jobs. Sometimes I need to be more like a firstborn especially when I need to take a lead. But there are also times that I must act as a second born and learn to compromise and be more diplomatic than take a crash and burn approach. When it is time to take caution and cast to the wind I will wear my badge young born.
Birth order knowledge is simple because it is intuitive, but it is also powerful, because Kevin Leman author of the new Birth Order Book maintains, the affects?. "you can reach deep and sometimes disturbing ways years after you think you've grown beyond that."
Michael Grose is a leading authority on birth order and its impact on personality. He is the author of the pioneering book "Why born first rule the world and the last born want change", published by Random House. You can buy this book from the shop at http:// www.parentingideas.com.au. Find out how you can get Michael to help your people the power of their birth order personalities to http://www.michaelgrose.com |

Leadership Skills - 10 Ways to Beef Up
|
|
10 Ways to strengthen your leadership skills
Have you ever heard someone say: "In fact, I must admit that I think I am really struggling to manage other people. My staff all hate me and I am unable to do my job. "
The answer is no, of course. Nobody said this is because they do not think so, or because they do not want to appear incompetent. Unfortunately, research shows that employees of view, there is not that many great managers there.
What should we take this dichotomy? Perhaps at the very least we could all ourselves to admit that it is possible to make improvements in how to lead others. After all, this is not the kind of skill that is easy to get 100% right all the time. It might just be that we do not know precisely what improvements to make the next 10 ways out:
1. Get a reality
Learn what others think of our leadership style can be an eye-opener, which is often the most powerful engine of change. Using 360 survey where you receive feedback from your staff, peers and manager, gives you some information on a topic sometimes intangible. Using an existing tool (and there are those very one) or simply let your staff knows you're looking for comments to improve your style.
A word of caution however, your staff May not feel safe in giving feedback to their opinion, if you will use it against them, or become defensive about what they say. It's up to you to create a secure environment so they feel comfortable being open and honest with you.
2. Do not use the power of your position to move forward
If people are questioning why certain things are done, or logical decisions, never pull rank in response. An essential component of effective leadership is to buy from your team and colleagues. You do not have to buy them saying that the decision is good because you're the boss and you did. May your team not always agree with what is done, but they are more likely to respect you if you take the time to explain your reasoning.
3. Do not think that employees of the things that must be controlled or managed
Instead, give them the latitude to take action and make decisions. Trust is an essential element of leadership. If you can not trust people to do their job well, then either you have bad people in employment, or if you have good people, but you do not have sufficiently trained. Let them do what they are there to do it without leaning over their shoulders all the time, or demanind how they spend every minute of their time.
4. Listen, listen, listen
If they are not satisfied or dissatisfied people in your business, you can guarantee that at some point they tried to tell you what the problem is. It is likely that you listen to (or would not listen), or maybe your first reaction of the person to think twice about bringing the problem to you. Listening is truly one of the greatest skills to develop, whatever your role. Good listeners are really interested, express empathy, and want to find out what lies behind the conversation. Great leaders are listeners? Without exception.
5. Stop providing solutions
Managers often achieve their positions after technical specialists, and have an opinion or view on how to "fix" situations or problems. They believe that it is faster to tell someone what to do, or do it themselves, to give their employees the opportunity to understand. By providing always answers, managers take their opportunity for employees to learn and find alternatives (and perhaps better) ways of doing things.
6. Always be constructive? forever
Communication and language skills of great leaders outside those poor. Do not patronize or criticism of others - assume full responsibility for how you heard. If you have taken yourself on the verge of making negative remarks, breathing and reformulate your words to get your message across without the emotional attachment. Great leaders always find a way to say things calmly and constructively.
7. Judge your success by the success of your team
The real success of a leader can be measured by the success of those who work for them. As manager of others, your main responsibility is to ensure the success and development of your team. If they are successful, you will automatically be successful. Focused on strengthening their skills and removing obstacles in their way. If you can achieve this goal, you will see the results of productivity, motivation and satisfaction of your employees. This, in turn, through filters bottom line results.
8. Do not do things just because they are "good".
Nothing is more transparent than managers who make decisions and behave in a way just to look good to their superiors. If you want to improve as a leader, one of the qualities you need is integrity. The integrity of decisions because they are right, and integrity to stand up when you really believe something is not in the best interest of the company. Whether or not in your best interest is much less of a consideration.
9. Humor include in your diet
Nobody likes to work in an environment that is devoid of any pleasure. People are more productive when they enjoy themselves. Creating a workplace where fun is permitted and encouraged can make a difference, and even more effective when the boss participates. It increases team spirit, and encourages people to see you as a person, not simply as the boss.
10. Let the people know the real you
Being open about yourself helps to break down the barriers that hierarchy is in place. When your employees know the person behind the facade, that's when you start laying the foundations of good leadership - trust and respect.

The Metamorphosis of the Successful Executive . . . Overcoming Professional Stagnation
|
|
You are a very successful business executive of money and managing a staff of capable professionals. You are your successful beyond crazy dreams Business School. You have done many things still something missing. On the surface, life is still good you feel tired, drained, frustrated, defeated. Intuitively, you know that your life can and must be more satisfactory.
Where do you turn? What can you do?
Four years ago, I reached a point in my career as a clinical psychologist where I, too, was unwilling to put up with any more professional "pain" and stagnation. I wanted more of my life and I knew I could have more. Then I teamed up with a personal trainer and started my own career transition to the relatively new profession of "Personal Coaching". . . and I never looked back.
Working with a personal trainer gave me the guidance and support I needed to restart my life and change my career to find my voice, my sense of purpose, my sense of direction. It is something that you can, too. Here's how.
With the coaching staff, frustrated executives get back on track, renewed energy, and are better able to exert a positive influence on their business and their peers. Working with a coach unhappy executives learn to set limits, limits to establish and delegate. They become clearer in their goals and better able to communicate their values. They develop action strategies to improve their listening skills and interpersonal relations. They begin to make a difference, to set the pace of their own lives at work and at home, and especially they begin to eliminate stress.
In 2001, a quantitative survey of 100 executives, most of the Fortune 1000, places the return on investment for Executive Coaching in almost 6 to 1. The study, conducted by Manchester Inc. (a globally-recognized provider of executive coaching services), also revealed that coaching increases organizational strength, productivity, quality, customer service, shareholder value, retention and the executive.
The question you should ask is "Can I afford not to work with a coach?"
Working with a personal coach you can become a better manager-better able to lead and inspire your teams. You create a better work environment where risk-taking and innovation is encouraged. Your employees become loyal, productive and satisfied. Recruitment efforts take off. Customer relations and service improves. Your customer base grows. Grow profits as well.
Coaching does not work for everyone. For those who procrastinate, who are not willing to do the job, or who consider coaching as "sensitive Feely" or frivolous, coaching will not be successful.
A coach is not a consultant. He or she has no answers, no coach. A coach asks the big questions, comments, offers support and constantly challenges the client to go further - sometimes well beyond the customer's current vision. The coach helps the client reduce stress, integrate self-care (exercise and healthy habits) in their life, and make time for what is important. A coach can also provide resources and tools to help clients stay focused and achieve their goals.
Coaching relationships can be short or long term experiences, often ranging from three to six months to one year or more. Most often, individuals work with coaches by phone or in person for a number of sessions per month. Coaching can also take place in groups, through teleclasses, and even a seminar or workshops settings.
Working with a coach is a very personal experience, to find the right coach-someone with whom you feel comfortable, is critical for success. The coaching industry estimates that more than 20,000 cars, coaches, business coaches, marketing coaches, etc. in the United States alone (and perhaps more than 100,000 around the world). When seeking a coach you should plan to interview several candidates to at least find a good match.
With the right coaching staff and a willingness to try new things, experiment and make and learn from its mistakes, you can enable the achievement and success into something more. Working with a coach, you can challenge squarely in the eye, face emotional obstacles at work and at home, and to overcome global Life "adventure" as you intuitively sense more rewarding opportunities ahead.

Do you remember some pseudo you hated as a child? Have your parents or teachers ever tell you something that makes you feel inferior or weak? Do you remember any negative comments you received on the job performance reviews? If you're like most people, you remember these words negative long after the time is past.
Now consider the positive words that you received. Perhaps, like me, they came from your family as a child. Perhaps they come from a favorite teacher, coach or mentor. Think for a moment on the impact these words have had on your life.
Positive or negative, the words leave a mark. The mark is not on the surface where you can see, but there is a brand.
Here is a story to illustrate my point. As a child, my parents and I lived in North Carolina. Both sets of my grandparents lived in Texas. We visited Texas twice a year. During these visits, we often divide our time between two families. I loved both very expensive, but I always wanted to spend more time with one than the other. Both sets loved me. Both treated me well. Both would almost nothing to me. But there was a big difference. A grandmother called me "precious angel baby child" and "my wonderful, precious angel." The other called me Guy. What do you think was my favorite? You can probably guess where I wanted to spend my time.
I loved my two grandmothers, but has become a greater influence on my life. Why? She constantly spoke words of encouragement for me and all the others she met on this issue. In fact, it has to this day. She always tells me how beautiful I am, how much she loves me and how it is proud of me. As an adult, I always look forward to talking with her.
When my grandfather died, I spoke at his funeral. I did the best I can pay tribute to one of the greatest men I have ever known personally. About six months later, my grandmother called again to tell me how wonderful my comments and how were intelligent and I'm wiser. I do not think I am the best person on the planet, but it sure feels good to have someone tell you that. After we talked, I felt like a million dollars and believed that I could accomplish anything.
Would you like the influence on people? Do you want to inspire people around you to work harder and accomplish more? Whether you have this power. You when you use positive words? words of encouragement and praise. As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said: "Treat a man as he appears to be and you make him worse. But treat a man as if he already could potentially be, and you make him what he should be. "
Following the example, words are probably the most powerful tools to use leaders. Words communicate your hopes, your dreams, your vision, your message and your heart. See how other words you see. As a leader, your words make a difference. Your words will be put up or demolish, encouraging or discouraging, inspire or deflate. The choice is yours.
I encourage you to remember this simple tip and spread a little scent of happiness around you. . . Choose to become a foster.

Ten Steps To Effective Leadership
|
|
Many people find themselves in a position of control or ownership SOHO almost by default. In the workplace, if someone stays on their work long enough, they will probably be promoted as others, older or their highest in the chain of responsibility, leave for other opportunities.
The prevalence of this type of promotion can lead to people with little or no leadership skills to be promoted to positions of responsibility.
This type of promotion can have many unforeseen and negative effects on the current work force if the new supervisor promoted lack of leadership talent base. Since a supervisor's skill level is immediately visible to those under their management, a lack of leadership ability can be catastrophic for the productivity of those who now works for the new supervisor.
To help novices supervisor overcome some of the most common errors, the following list was created from problems culled from a field of diverse industries. By simply avoiding these common errors of the newly promoted supervisors, a person likely to become an effective manager and a leader will be greatly improved.
# Do not try to be friends with your employees. The distinction between the supervisor and friend must be clear and meaningful.
# Never hesitate to roll up your sleeves to help if the situation warrants your participation.
# Ivory tower, managers are usually doomed to failure. Make sure not to isolate those you supervise directly.
# Can not know everything, but as a supervisor, you need to learn as much as is humanly possible about your department's area of responsibility. Your employees to respect the fact that you know what their job really entails.
# The ability to treat all of your subordinates fairly will be a determining factor in your success as a supervisor; never play favorites. Always give credit to an employee who is the recognition, never take credit for someone else's initiative.
# Always take advantage of any opportunity to improve as a supervisor. Seminars, courses for adult education, professional certifications, online learning and a myriad of other sources exist only for that purpose.
# To be able to conflict resolution is an area in the new supervisor must master to be successful. Never lose sight of the fact that there are always two sides to every story. Never make a decision based on only a part of history and you earn the respect of your employees, even if the decision result is not in their favor.
# The possibility of setting meaningful goals will help steer employees toward the goal you are trying to achieve. Realistic objectives with the appropriate tools to achieve them, everyone will feel a part of the department of success.
# Also solicit input from all your employees that you plan new strategies to meet today to changing market demands. As long as your employees feel like they were significant in creating new plans, change the old and implementing the changes, every effort will be more likely to succeed.
# You are a supervisor, not God! Make sure to always follow the golden rule and your employees will follow.

Professional Organizations: Join or Fold?
|
| Sunday, December 21, 2008 |
Each of us join professional organizations for one reason - belongs to a friend, we need credibility for the, etc. Many times we let years slide by and we do not stop and review of these reasons. Unless something triggers a boundary - lack of funds, the organization manages itself in a ditch, or a problem of leadership.
When is it not more worthy? Is there a template for you to drop a subscription?
I know, as an accountant for 15 years, I joined organization after organization. Without knowing it, and after delegate to my assistant, I realized that I was doing at 32 agencies. Yes, at some point. Yes, I know this is probably exceptional. Yes, I can blame on my assistant or being too busy. But I am not. It was not until I began to take a complete review of these memberships that I realize many have lost their seats.
During the review process, I learned to ask different questions. Let me share with you one of 6 steps that I use for the last 8 years, I know that will help you: 1) choose more wisely in the future, (2) set your intention and expectations first place, and (3) what you want to give back.
On 10 minutes exercise will save you time and money and make money and time to create smart choices in the future.
1. Make a list of all members of professional bodies. Yes, go ahead abbreviations.
2. Ask what was your intention to join this organization at this time?
3. Is this intention still fit? If yes, rating from 1-10, what would be your advice when you joined and what would be the ranking now? 1 = because I was new to the profession. 10 = I am increasingly of my membership that I ever. If the intention is not good, you want to change or fold (dissolve your membership). If the ratings 1.10 to you, create one that does.
4. What my expectations for my membership? What do I expect out of membership in 2004? If you think the top was low and it is still low, do you have any expectations for change in the future and what you have to do to reach that level? My expectations are realistic? When do I want to have the first three steps of those expectations, if any, completed.
The most valuable part of # 4 - What set of circumstances or the date of accession end? Remember, everything is temporary.
5. Prioritize each member. Which do you value more? Less? What do you enjoy most? What we have that others do not? Is this something that you have the power to change? What needs to change to make them useful to all full? Is it even possible? Realistic?
6. Sixthly, how can you member of each organization help you with your goals in the future? Match your goals with the organization of value. What value does it add to your life, family or business?
Honesty now. Well, in May to take some of you a longer list of more than 10 minutes, I promise. You must accept if, just reading these steps, you'll think a little differently before joining or renew your membership - in any organization.
From a coaching, and info, having expectations is a good thing!
It is a good exercise to complete at least once a year. If you take a few minutes today, now that you're focused on this topic, and write the date of expiry of the body. And to add these dates on your task alert system to review these questions before you renew.
You can also create a folder called "professional member and renewal evaluations." Inside the cover, you can write in bold BIG, "What does it for me to be?"

Is Your Life Ready For Groundhog Day?
|
|
In the hit comedy film Groundhog Day, Bill Murray character, Phil Conners, is caught in another era, doomed to live the same day and over until he gets it right. Hilarious that the ensuing chaos in May on the big screen, it is a poignant and not too thinly veiled metaphor for how most of us live our own lives - mindlessly occupied with our own questions and concerns, stumbling blocks in life (often on the toes of others) with little or no conscious direction or critical thinking. Ultimately, we march on them in the same scenarios and problems over and over - not because we are caught in a loop of time, but because we are caught in a loop of life. We have not made quality, we can not graduate beyond our current situation.
One solution to this is to create what I call a "Groundhog Day" proof of life. Think about it one second. What if today (or any day recently) was the only day you had to live. Is this good with you, or should be howling tragedy? There are 5 steps to creating a GD proof of life, and I've indicated below.
1. Quit playing "Someday My Prince Will Come" on your internal radio station.
Whether the second perfect, the ideal job or the perfect life, too many of us spend so much time in the imaginary future that we let down our pieces around our feet. Why bother cleaning when you do not really belong where you now? How can you have a good night when your ideal date has not shown the door? Who cares if you blow your job - it's not like you or anything. Stop! As John Lennon sang, life is what happens when you make other plans. Do not miss the life that you fantasize about a life that does not exist.
2. Get your house in order.
Now that you're back in this, your act together and do what you have to work as well as it can for you. Design supportive environments and to raise the ditching anything that does not work and only when replacing you find something you love.
3. Pursue your dreams, not your "purpose".
Yes, we all have a purpose in life (more than one, probably). But part of the game is that we do not know what that purpose is, and all expenditures of our time trying to find it often ends up taking the place of actually living our lives in a way that we would to serve that purpose if we did. We all know people who went off to "find themselves" and never came back - not to be one of them. The best way to find yourself, and your goal is to live a life of passion and authenticity and let them find you.
4. Quality, not quantity.
Why live life to half-mast? You do not get bonus points for the selection of lots cheap, nasty fast food instead of a moderate amount of gourmet cuisine, and neither he win something you fill your closet to bursting with ill-fitting clothes and poorly match instead of holding on to an assortment of delicious ensembles. The greed and envy are not what I advocate, but life in the short to sit on the furniture and lumpy eat the bad food.
5. Do it - all day, every day.
Live life as if you may have to account for this one day. Is it really so important to get that promotion you're willing to injure a friend, the rules (even if it makes problems for everyone in the line), or claim credit for things you do not do it? Would it really take the time to make a hot meal at a stop down the road - even if you miss the opening sequence of your favorite TV show? Do you really need one more jewel that you'll never wear, when the money could go much further to the community center downtown that provides valuable resources for those who need it? As they say, what is happening around the future. What you have to come?
Imagine the case today and over and over again for the rest of your life (or at least until you got that right). What you need to empty, clean and place in your life to an astonishing perspective, rather than a thought of cooling? Do not wait until tomorrow to start. In real life, we do not get a chance to get it right.

Rationalize Success Away
|
|
I was invited to leadership at a workshop well known Fortune 100 company in New Jersey. If the whole day was oriented towards their new generation of students. At one point in my presentation, I spoke of the many reasons we have not taken any measures. The many excuses we create in order to delay or postpone our plans to achieve success.
I talked about how we have the bad habit to "rationalize" why something can not be done or accomplished. We procrastinate because we convince us that: It can not be done, I do not have enough time, I have too much to do already, I am short of money now is not a good time my dog sick so I am not in the mood to start something now, I'm not smart enough, I am not qualified? And yet, blah, blah, blah. You have the idea! We rationalize why we can not go.
Have you ever break the word "rationalize"? The ability to "ration is" to ourselves. That's what we do when we are faced with all sorts of excuses why we can not do something or why we did not start on what should be done. We eat small amounts of lies every day, to the point where we convince ourselves not to act.
Later in that direction workshop, a student asked a question about how to network in a job outside their current area of concentration. I responded by asking what are some of the obstacles stop him. He responded with a litany of excuses of why he was unable to do so (the offices are not in the same building, difficult to get a hold of people is great company, etc.). But every excuse, as I bluntly pointed out to him, was that an excuse. These drawbacks were not obstacles. Huge difference!
I then asked her commitment to change (ie, how bad he wanted IT). He looked at me in a way that indicated he had obtained the item. You see any of his excuses for networking and meeting people outside his group were in force. It was simply "rationalize" why it was not done. I too have been victim of a "resident-rationing" to me and procrastinating. But over the years, I could better capture me do it myself and forced to take action, even if my mind wants to convince me otherwise.
I concluded that dreams do not dissipate overnight. The reason why many people will never achieve their goals or realize their dreams because they are "streamlining" them away, little-by-bit, day by day, week by week and so on. Each year we make new resolutions only to abandon them, not all at once, but slowly through the powerless to streamline the rhetoric. Every moment you delay in the launch of your life of the mission, which is one less day you have to work with.
So my question is this, 'What have you been "rationalize" far? "What dreams or goals have you been a postponement pending the right time or the timetable ?
Take action ... do not meet your success far! Remember, success happens for a reason.

The Leadership Strategy: An Unmined Comstock Lode of Results
|
| Wednesday, December 17, 2008 |
During the Second World War, Winston Churchill had a framed inscription on his desk that said: "It's not enough to say that we are doing our best. We must succeed in doing what is necessary. "
The world demands results. Good intentions and promises are to use. And one of the best ways for any leader to achieve results is to develop a strategy, which is a plan, a method or a series of actions for achieving a goal or outcome . It does not matter what job you have or how many people you lead, if you do not come grappling with the challenges of development and implementation of strategies, you limit your ability to get results.
In a sense, strategies are banknotes, the payment is due on demand. One reason for their becoming less and less worthy than the supply is not supported by a strategy of leadership.
Leadership Strategy - have you heard? I bet you did not. For one thing, it is not taught in schools. And for another, even in the unlikely event that you have heard of him and know what it is, you probably do not know how to get there.
In this article I will show you what a leadership strategy is and how to implement it. It may be much larger than the standard of your business strategy.
Whereas business strategy is to gather around a central body functions, organizing concepts, a strategy of leadership, on the other hand, seeks to obtain, organize and direct the heart of the appointment of persons must fulfill the strategy.
The strategy is sailing, the strategy of market leadership ballast. Without a Leadership Strategy, most business strategies capsize.
To understand what a leadership strategy is, look at your past activities of leadership.
Divide a single sheet of paper into two columns labeled A and B. At the top of the column to write "(or organizational) strategies." The top of column B write, "Leadership Strategies" - in other words, what strategies were used to obtain people's sincere commitment to carry out business strategies?
Consider strategies your organization has developed in recent years. They could be the product strategies, service strategies, growth strategies, sales strategies, marketing strategies. You do not have to explain it in detail, just give each strategy a tag and write tag.
Did the list in column A match the ads in column B? Is there all the ads in column B? This gap between what is in column A and what was in column B is a killer gap. This means that business strategies have not been complemented by strategies of leadership. And when that happens, the results suffer.
I do not care if you lead three people, three hundred or three thousand more. I do not care if you're in sales, you are a factory supervisor, a marketing manager or a COO, CFO or CEO. You will need a leadership.
And if you do not think you need some sort of strategy, think again. Whatever the work you are doing takes strategic thinking. In fact, make a habit of watching what you do in the strategic plan gives you a great advantage in your career advancement.
The roots of the word "strategy" from two German words, the first meaning one or more camps over the army and then the second word meaning "to drive." In other words, a strategy provides guidance to the 'organization and strength to another body dispersed.
Most entrepreneurs are of a quality development strategies. They learn in schools. But I bet that the 9999 heads of 10,000 do not know what a leadership strategy is, let alone how it is a business strategy.
Leadership strategies are not taught in schools because these strategies are not meaningless in the abstract formulations or case studies, but what can not be taught but must be experienced, process and relationship.
And if you have not thought of a strategy for leadership before, start thinking now, because it can boost your career in many ways. Most leaders develop their strategies in bunkers, without taking into account those outside the bunker who have to implement. Unwittingly, they buy into the "fallacy of automatic reciprocity" - the belief that their dedication to the cause is automatically reciprocated by the people they lead. It is a mistake because reciprocity is not automatic . It can not be controlled. It must be nurtured and won.
Here are the five stages of developing a strategy for leadership.
(1) Understand your business strategy. There are many books and courses on developing business strategies. I do not want to reinvent the wheel. Suffice it to say clearly, you must develop this strategy.
(2) identify the dream (s) of your cause leaders.
Why do I say "dreams"? Far from being fluff, dreams are the things difficult, the results measured are made of.
Watch as follows: Leadership is the motivation or is stumbling in the dark. The best leaders are not for people to work, the best leaders motivate people to want to do the job.
The problem is the vast majority of leaders not to plunge into the depths aspects of human rights and motivation are not able to motivate people effectively.
Go to the objectives and goals and aspirations and ambitions and you click on the basis of motivation, the dream. Many leaders fail to take into account.
The dreams are not objective and goals. The objectives are the results towards which efforts are directed. The realization of a dream may contain goals, which can be milestones towards the realization of dreams. But the achievement of a goal does not necessarily lead to the realization of a dream.
For example, Martin Luther King did not say, "I have a goal." Or "I have a goal." The power of this speech was in the "I have a dream".
Dreams are not aspirations and ambitions. Aspirations and ambitions are strong desires to do something. King said he has not had an aspiration or ambition ".... that one day this nation will rise up and live the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. " He said he had a dream.
If you are a leader speaking to people's aspirations and ambitions, you talk about something that motivates them, yes, but you are not necessarily tap into the heart of their motivation.
After all, or you can aspire to be ambitious to achieve a dream. But his desire and ambition May also be connected to things of lesser importance that dream.
A dream embraces our most cherished desires. It embodies our very identity. We often do not feel respected as human beings, we realize that our dreams.
If leaders are avoiding people's dreams, if leaders are simply setting goals (as important as goals are), they lack the most potential to help these people to take strong action to achieve great results .
I teach leaders to get their bodies in the realization of "more results faster, permanently." To do this, you must first take the trouble to understand the dreams of people you lead.
(3) Creating a shared dream. If your vision of where you want the organization to go and their dream of where they want to go are shared, you call a dream shared. In addition, you can not take the next step, unless you have developed a shared dream.
Watch as follows: The crucial issue of the leadership strategy is not the motivation of leaders. As a leader, you must be motivated. If you're not motivated, you should not be the first. The crucial question is: Can you transfer your motivation to the people so that they are as motivated as you are?
(By the way, the dream shared is not "win / win." As you see, there is much deeper and richer than the relationship itself "win-win" for the difference in win / Win ", the dream shared is a course on the relationship process arising mutually beneficial expectations and solutions.)
(4) Turn the dream shared in a leadership strategy. The leadership strategy is the dream shared by a clear action plan.
In the action plan, identify the steps that lead you to dream shared. The first step is complete in May, rigorous identification of the needs of the cause of leaders and how those needs fit into the corporate strategy. (Remember, you can use this process with a number of leaders of the facts. Just the scale until the number you need.)
Churchill was right, "... we must succeed in doing what is necessary."
And one of the best ways for any leader to get people to succeed in doing what is necessary is to combine a business strategy with a strategy of leadership.

Unleash It!
|
|
In airplanes, restaurants, newspapers and television, I have often heard people say their companies do not develop to their satisfaction or they are not achieving their objectives. The following explanations are composed of reasons:
? It is the economy ? Our customers do not understand ? I have no right of people within the team
I could continue, and may therefore you.I think it's a lot of hogwash.People (both those who speak and those they speak) are not all they can be. The organization is not all it can be. Both have huge untapped potential sitting there waiting to be recognized and exploited. Both have potential waiting to be released.
Dictionary.com defines potential as "the inherent ability or capacity for growth, development or introduction, or something possessing the capacity for growth or development."
When we point to others and other factors as the cause of our problems (in business or a part of our lives) we are missing the point. We have many answers ourselves. Maybe not at this time, but when we release our potential, we free up talents, skills, perspectives and ideas that can help us solve the problems we face, and (as no small advantage ) Become more fulfilled in our lives. In other words, as custodians of our own lives ourselves cheating if we do our utmost to free our potential? that innate ability within us waiting to be developed.
As leaders in organizations, our responsibility to liberate the potential is at least as great as it is for us personally. We are responsible for results, to meet the needs of customers, and to help empower individuals, and generally to do good things for our bodies exist to do so. If we do not help those around us unleash their potential, we really do our work?
You know the answer.
So the question is not, we do everything possible to free the enormous potential that exists, but how can we do? In very short form below are some key steps you can take to begin to release your potential or the potential in others. As you read these, think in both directions? both to help others and help you.
1. Believe. Tug McGraw, pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies said in an unlikely end to a World Series championship, "Ya Gotta Believe!" A whole team, and a city has done, and the team went further and more accomplished than they first thought they could. Tug helped the team to release their potential, because he believed, and helped others believe too. If you do not think your team has the ability to achieve or accomplish more, how likely are the accomplishments occur?
2. Recognize. You may think the potential is there and you can start doing that on faith, but then you have to recognize exactly what is there. The combination of potential I have is different from yours. The dosage is different for everyone. Recognition allows us to target the ways we can expand and give us clues about what to do in the steps that follow.
3. Wait. There are all sorts of studies dealing with expectations, and how powerful it is. You want to do a single thing to help a team working with you improve? Really expect improvement. Let the team know that you have a positive expectation on the basis of your faith in them and the skills they possess. Acting on this belief and this expectation. Let your behavior prove your words. You will be surprised by the change you see, almost overnight. If we know this is true with our expectations of others, while you're at it, why not raise your expectations you too?
4. Plan. You need a plan. Once you see potential and have greater expectations for itself, you need a plan to help unlock this potential. The plan could include the study, a mentor, courses, books, new habits, changes in the environment and many other things. You'll be able to build your plan based on your specific situation. Use this step to help others tailor a plan for themselves too.
5. Invest. You must invest in the plan. The plan is not enough. You must take action. Put your action plan requires investments in discipline, time and perhaps money. You can not unlock the potential without some investment.
6. Effort. Sustained efforts are needed. Opinion effort I have said, no work. If you move to your unique innate potential will not always work, but it requires effort. You've heard "there is no free lunch." It is true to your potential. Yes, the potential is in you, but it takes effort to break. You might ask it? Well, what is the value to increase your confidence? What is the value your skills? What is the value to meet your objectives and goals? What is it useful to feel more fulfilled in your life? What is it deserve to be happy? What is it to have a value of more potential income? Stop moving towards your potential will give you all these things. I think it's worth.
7. Patience. Sometimes you make quick profits, other times promoting May seem slow. Be patient. Be persistent. You are worth the wait. Help others and be patient with them. They are worth the wait as well.
8. New targets. The master violinist Jascha Heifetz said: "There is not high. There are always new heights to achieve." So with our potential. Each of us (and every body) is full of potential. When you recognize a potential skills or talents and some control, the pool is always full. When you've made gains identified in your plan, return to the first stage and with great excitement to know that this process works, begin again.
This is not a matter that can be covered briefly? this is just the beginning. There are many facets of potential, both for us as individuals and to unleash the potential of those around us. At present, do not worry that - just begun.
I encourage you to at least three things with this information:
1. Think of the measures outlined above, and start believing in your incredible potential. 2. Begin to recognize your unique potential. 3. Share this article with others you know who would benefit from these ideas.

Helping Others Develop Their Potential
|
|
Most of us are in a position to help others achieve their potential more than we realize. Of course, as leaders, supervisors, parents and we can see ourselves in this position, but the fact is that all of us are eminently qualified to help at least one other person in our lives to reach their potential. I think it is part of our purpose in life to serve others in this way? to encourage and support people we care about themselves become their best.
Many books (some of whom sit on my shelf) have been written about coaching and help people develop their skills. This article is not a definitive list, but share my views on the essential ingredients to help others achieve their potential.
Help them to see
The first step in developing potential in others, is for "other" to recognize their potential and know for themselves what it is! We have already talked about her but you can not forget? This is a critical stage. Our goal must be to help where they want to go? even if their vision is slightly different from ours.
Potential is about passion. If people do not have a passion for the future they see, they are much less likely to go there (and it probably is not good future!)
Be brought
Many years ago I had a manager who saw great things in my future. It was very favorable to help me achieve its vision. Although I will always be grateful to him to see the potential in me, I still shake my head at his approach. He never wanted to know what I saw myself and for my future, instead, he assumed, I want to become what he saw for me. Even when I tried to explain that our visions do not match, he has focused on providing opportunities to support me and who have been right for his vision, not mine.
Remember that you are helping people achieve their potential by helping them discover their agenda and objectives. This is not a platform for you to exert your influence on the basis of your faith in them or your vision for them.
Yes, if you are a supervisor or manager May you have goals you hope this person can reach. Being from the outset on achieving these objectives, and for matches of the passions and unique abilities. There may be a perfect fit, or maybe the best thing you can do to help everyone is the person moving into a new or different role inside or outside the organization.
To truly serve others in this way, we must keep this process completely on them, not our best judgments, our agenda and our vision for them.
Ask questions
As a developer potential of our role is to draw responses from others. Too often we want to share our wisdom and advice. We will be more effective if we spend less time talking and request more time and listen. Ask them questions about their passions, their ideas on their greatest areas of potential, and other areas in this article.
Ask questions without bias and questions that encourage others to think. Then, be patient and keep your mouth closed after you ask. Your only job is to listen.
Help them set goals
We all know the value of goal setting, but many of us do not very well or very regularly on our own. We can guide and encourage people to fix them. We can help define and clarify these objectives through the questions we ask. Helping people to describe their current situation and then set goals that will extend their current reality to their potential.
Use your skills throughout the interrogation of this process and encourage people to write to their goals.
Help them identify options and opportunities
In the process of setting goals, people should begin to identify options to help achieve the goal. Here you can start providing more direct advice. Perhaps you have experience you can share to help identify the approaches they can use. Maybe if you're in the role of a supervisor, you can offer specific training or learning experiences to help them.
At least as important however is that you are now in a unique position to help in the future because you know their objectives and vision. Over time, you will be aware of situations, courses, conferences, books, people and all sorts of other things that help to advance that person to their goals. Be sure to share those ideas and opportunities with them.
Providing support
If we want to help people realize their potential, we know they need support. They need encouragement, advice and comments.
You expect me to cite reactions, and it is very important. Sometimes, however, more people have commented that what they want or need. What they are lacking is encouragement. Being a person who is supportive, interested and encourage and provide great value to others.
Being a role model
You want to help others reach their potential? The most important thing you can do is be on the same path for yourself. Model the behavior you encourage them. Ask your own development goals. Be a ready and willing learner. Being open and flexible to new opportunities yourself.
You'll have much more influence and much more successful in developing others if you are serious about developing yourself first.
Taken individually each of the above suggestions can be a powerful help you help others achieve their potential. Taken together, they will astound you and those who help you. The best way to implement these ideas is to have begun. Identify at least one of these suggestions you will implement today.
To begin is often the most difficult step. Given the success that comes with the action that you encourage them to continue. Do (rather than just shake their heads and agree with these ideas) will be both rewarding and life changing - those that help you and you too!
Follow these steps and you're on your way to unlock the potential in others.
I wish you much success.

Leadership Skill Development - Four Principles of a High Performance Business Person By Peter McLean
|
|
The CEOs and executives to create the culture of their business. It is therefore extremely important to recruit and retain the right people at the top directing and managing your business performance.
Among other things, people who demonstrate the qualities of good leadership in the business world should be very organized and ethics and to manage against the detailed objectives of the small business plan, while having a range of "looking Overall, the strategic agenda the company.
In addition, they are called to manage budgets and finance and expose the subtleties of dealing effectively and compassionately with their dependents. They are responsible for developing new business opportunities.
Despite how difficult it is for a single person to answer all these various expectations, increasingly, that is precisely what is required of senior managers in enterprises.
How is possible for a leader to live up to those standards? In fact, there are four principles that, if adopted and put into practice will allow the company manager to achieve a coherent and consistent management approach that provides high performance and achieved remarkable results, not only themselves, but among the people around them too.
Having a personal sense of mission, vision and values
The value of enterprises, the principle of centering for the very effective entrepreneur. You must know the land on which you stand, on a personal level, to ensure a high level of activity leverage and high performance results in the company.
If you are not personally based on a strong sense of mission, you do not have clarity of vision, you're not sure of your personal values and behavior you expect of yourself and you, simply never become a high-performance person.
Only when you have these basic elements of the mission, vision and values in your own life, you can align with those of your business. Business champions are defined by the fact that their personal goals and objectives are in line with their business.
Develop a sense of personal responsibility and accountability
Having defined and clearly articulated your own sense of mission, vision and values, then you have to develop in the personal psychology is based on responsibility to take responsibility and manage your own performance in achieving results business.
This mindset is making a deliberate choice to develop your skills in this area. You must choose to speak and act in harmony with your basic personal value. Use positive words. Refusing to apologize. Do not blame others. Dealing with your own mistakes. Focus on the realities of the situation of a company. Always listen to what others have to say. Control your language and ask questions. These are the signs of the exercise of emotional intelligence in business.
If you practice this principle, you find that you speak with integrity and behave so as to provide exceptional performance in intra-personal, interpersonal and business levels.
In addition, adherence to this principle ensures that all your actions and is aligned with your own values.
Increase personal skills in information sharing and effective communication
The third principle to become a high performance company is creating a business environment where information sharing and communication are open and transparent.
If you work on the principle that all business success as the result of working with, by and for others, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the impact and results that this approach provides the development of the company 'teamwork.
By operating this way a multiplier effect occurs, which ensures all business activities are integrated and optimized.
The high performance of individual companies develop and sharpen their skills in information sharing and communication in an endless cycle of learning.
By following this principle and create a corporate culture of openness and transparency, we build confidence in all our relationships and increase and strengthen the involvement of others in effective decision making throughout the organization .
Learn to identify gaps and manage
The final principle is the principle of leadership. Leadership is the capacity to identify and assess gaps and manage business processes and people in their address.
Leadership in business is the ability to see the possibility of creating a new gap and then fill it by introducing processes to address its closure. Consciously create and fill these gaps propels the company to new, higher levels of performance and success.
This principle is based on the second principle of personal responsibility and accountability above. Learning to see the problems and create opportunities is a skill that successful business is developing in themselves. In order to develop, however, the chef must first have a clear sense of responsibility and accountability.
In formulating and exercising that power, the head ensures that all the people around them are equipped with the right mindset, an effective tool set and are themselves the skills required in the exercise this principle throughout the company's management.
Adopting the four above principles and practice continually high yield business, cultures of positive and fruitful results of the company.

Exploring the Leadership Role - Setting Direction That Others Will Follow to Achieve Results By Nigel Brooks
|
|
The role provides direction through values, mission, vision and teamwork to transform ideas into value.
The role allows either formal or informal agreements between leaders and followers to be reached, including employees, customers, suppliers and investors. If the vision is enough, members of all stakeholders will follow, including regulation and competitors.
When agreements are negotiated, there is a clearer understanding of management and what is both necessary and expected. Both May sides have to compromise to reach a negotiated agreement. Agreements influence on culture and morale. Culture results of the knowledge and skills on the part of leaders and models that determine the values, attitudes, behaviors and beliefs. Cultural influence future behavior. Morale is the willingness to maintain belief in the values, mission and vision.
The leading role is performed at two levels:
Macro-economic - transformation: the change by adopting the environment in which the company operates, or within the company itself, or both At the local level - transactional: the relationship between a leader and follower in the task performance
Transformational leaders influence followers of results, as individuals and as a team, changing their aspirations, the desires and needs, objectives and goals, and affirming the values, mission, vision and learning .
Transactional leaders are either focused on the power or autonomy. Power-centric leaders run a command and control-oriented approach, where the results are delivered to the order with rewards or punishments are imposed. However, the empowerment of leaders develop successors through a process of migration style of a directive in favor of a style based on commitment and competence of followers. A company can not grow if it develops future leaders.
The leading role is performed within the context of planning and policy development, deployment and measurement of performance. It includes self-motivation, aspirations, leadership, inspiring leadership, and creating an environment for other reasons.
Self-motivation - enthusiasm for developing an innovative idea and / or commitment to shared values:
Positive attitude Ambition Trust Commitment Self-evaluation
Leadership aspirations - setting the mood for communications:
Values and guiding principles Mission Vision Value Proposition
Inspirational Leadership - to communicate and build relationships with the followers:
To attract and the acquisition of Increase Maintain Retaining Focusing
Creating an environment for other reasons:
Affecting the motion to action To motivate themselves disciples
The consequence of effective leadership is that the followers to achieve the desired results through their own self-motivation.

Leadership - 6 Tips to Achieve Your Goals By Duncan Brodie
|
| Monday, December 15, 2008 |
Your role as a leader and your success is judged on your ability to produce results or achieve your goals. So what can you do to maximize the chances of achieving your goals?
Tip 1: Be clear about the
This may seem like stating the obvious, but the reality is that leaders are sometimes vague when it comes to goals. Clear objectives, on the other hand are specific and measurable. You can say categorically whether they were achieved or not.
Tip 2: Take calculated risks
Nobody said the leader was easy. You must be ready and willing to take action again and again. Taking action requires you to take calculated risks after weighing the advantages and disadvantages.
Tip 3: Be prepared to fail
All the most successful leaders are ready to failure. They prefer to say they have tried rather than sit and do nothing. Unless you are prepared to fail, you procrastinate, put things off and get stuck where you are now.
Tip 4: The break
You may have an overall objective to increase market share or improve cash flows by a determined time. To achieve this goal, you'll need to take a number of measures to achieve the overall objective. Use these interim measures to create sub-goals.
Tip 5: Surround yourself with good people
No matter how good you are individually you have, in the same way as everyone else, areas of strength and areas of weakness. Surround yourself with people who complement what you are doing well and can help you achieve the goals.
Tip 6: Acknowledge your accomplishments
In the desire to reach the end objectives, it is too easy to lose sight of your achievements along the way. Make a point of celebrating the achievements along the way.
Bottom line-achievement of goals is extremely rewarding and there are no guarantees. So what do you have to do to achieve your goals?
Duncan Brodie objectives and achievements (G & A) works with individuals, teams and organizations develop their management and leadership capacity.

Rules of How to Achieve Leadership Qualities By Wayne Fillis
|
|
The rules for achieving leadership qualities by unleashing instincts of the Interior are you boundless. There was no stopping once to release the leadership rules. Similarly, the leaders of all shapes, sizes, shapes, backgrounds, ethnic groups and so on. The head is within each of us, but you must release your instinct to achieve these qualities of leadership.
A leader sees beyond normal, it takes action in the future guide others along the way. A senior officer will leave his acts and conduct speak louder than words. As you can see, a true leader takes possession of the lead.
What makes a leader? How can you release the instincts to bring out the leader in you? It takes a lot of effort, practice, a willingness to move forward, and an ability to learn. Leaders continue to grow and learn, rather than think they know everything. The leadership challenge of new information, comments, and accept the unacceptable.
Inspire other leaders in stressing facts asserted in her voice. The leaders use their body language to transmit messages with words and cases to verify their knowledge and wisdom. The leaders also debate points lead, or other angles of information. While the leaders to find truths beyond truths, they must also accept that the facts come their way.
Some leaders in the world are the presidents, law, lawyers, doctors, etc.. Other leaders not register. One of the facts of world leaders is that these people are not real leaders of the world, ie some have shown their lack of leadership. For example, a true leader will not be publicly claims and get behind the screen behave word. Instead, a true leader takes his word and back with these words harmonized conduct, behavior and actions.
The leaders are prepared to isolate self necessary. They recognize that many in the world will not accept their achievements. The world is nurtured in a negative way, despondence, and often depends on others to charge for them, then they ignore these same people they expect to carry the load. For example, we see evidence of this set of facts as we look around us and listen to dozens of people complain about world problems, but you rarely see these naggers complain and fight for what they believe that inches rather they wait in the hope that changes occur. A true leader will discuss global issues and reflect on what he or she can do to help. This person should write, e-mail, telephone and congress representatives, and addressing issues while providing consequences of solving ideas, and so on. The head will not stop until these changes are taken into account.
Yet, as a leader addresses issues, he / she will continue to try to consider other facts, ideas and so on. The head never stops working until he knows of a solution is at hand. Some of the best known leaders of our time have publicly serious errors. A true leader to prepare for these mistakes, admit mistakes and take steps to deal with errors. It takes full ownership and responsibility for his actions, words, conduct, behavior and so again, a leader give credit to others knowing that if not for others, he would not get in task. In other words, I give credit to my experiences, above all God and all those who inspired me to write books. Unfortunately, which includes people who made my life hell, because if not for them I would not have the experience I saw today and can give you.
